Needs an explanation of the diff between right and left (and how you can use both)
This is a massive power boost!
Also, trading in, could give +1 upgrade for every full tier up of the traded in item. Since trading in legendary for basics, is a big power loss for quite a while. (Rare gives +1 to buy, Epic +2, Legendary +3, maybe have Legendary give an extra bonus upgrade for every +2?)
This would smooth out the upgrade paths! As well as give a fun minigame of getting higher legendary items for a bigger trade in later.
Thank you for playing! Failing to explain which weapons are equipped in which hand (and that this is even a thing) was a big oversight on my part.
Your suggestions for how to improve the trade-in system is interesting, I've been thinking of similar ways to change how buying items work and I'll keep this in mind. :)
This game was significantly more polished than most other game jam entries, with no visible bugs, a tutorial, music+SFX, and an engaging gameplay loop.
I was able to beat the game on my 2nd run (1st after the tutorial), not sure you should be able to do that... Are the characters supposed to start with 150 health?
150 is the intended starting health, yes. :) The tutorial is meant to be unwinnable to show the player the difference between using the Retreat option or choosing to fight until the end, as well as to highlight more dangerous second half of battles. (Plus it gives an excuse to introduce the shop and give the player a proper fighting chance.)
If you consider finishing the first (non-tutorial) battle to be a completion of the game that's great! Since I didn't add an actual win condition or message of any sort. :D There enemies do get more difficult every time you win, up to five wins at which point I ran out of time to add more battles and enemies. Also, after two wins, better items go on sale in the shop, there are four tiers altogether (and a maximum team size of five.)
I wish I could toggle to disable swapping items (or a "are you sure" prompt), I keep replacing Legendary 20+ items on accident... and it's very click heavy at this time. I feel that one confirmation or toggle would save alot of people alot of headache.
Thank you for playing! Sorry about all the miss-buy headaches, you're definitely right that there should be a prompt before replacing an item. I've added it to my TODO list!
Thank you very much for playing and the kind words! I remember some fun flash games I kept going back to, as well, so it's great to be able to capture that sort of feeling. :)
I played until the game was giving a hundred thousand gold lol. It's very easy to keep on going!!
If you're planning on continuing with the project, a togglable feature to auto buy upgrades would be huge lol. I sat for 10ish minutes buying upgrades because I enjoyed the calm of the auto battling system 😀
I'd really like to continue the project, once the Game Jam review week is finished! And, for sure, I think an auto-buy system for upgrades would help a lot, thank you! :)

Hi!
First off, well done for making a game!

Nice game! Really liked the gameplay!
Thank you very much!

I had a really nice time playing this, it reminded me of the old flash days. Spending a ton of time on a nicely made, cute game. Well done friend :3

Thank you so much for playing! And I really appreciate the feedback.
There are a lot of improvements I'd like to make, especially with the shop, once the jam review session is finished. :)
